My Question (draft one)

In the children’s television show, The Smurfs, the dating rituals revolve around the one and only female Smurfette. Smurfette has many suitors of the male population of smurfs, but she dates more frequently five male smurfs; Brainy, Handy, Hefty, Vanity Smurf and Enamoured Smurf. This situation, of having five main suitors, is extremely strange to that of the ‘real world,’ in the fact it is better for Smurfette to not pick just one male smurf, but to continue to date all five smurfs. Given this highly unusually dating scenario and that in the ‘real world’ Smurfette would be named an whore, and the fact that courtship is so important in the show, it might cause someone to ask, “How might this dating scenario effect young viewers as they begin to take part in the rituals of courtship?”
